bye bye TMG :(

Friday, October 12th, 2012

Damn it, ISA/TMG (Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server / Forefront Threat Management Gateway) was one of the (few?) Microsoft products I actually liked, it is sad Microsoft has decided to kill it.

netflix

Sunday, September 30th, 2012

I was trying netflix for some time now and I must say I really like it. Unlimited streaming for 7.99$/month.

The only thing I dislike about it is the integration (or non-integration) to Microsoft’s media center but then again, I’m still waiting for Windows 8’s media center pack anyway…

C > Java

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

Intersting…

Quote:

It took some time but Java’s long term downward trend line finally crosses C’s stable (almost flat) popularity line. Although it is expected that Java will not decline much further due to the popularity of the Android platform, C is able to remain number one for at least another couple of months. This can be concluded by looking at the extrapolation of moving averages for both languages.

I resigned from my DALnet “duties”

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

Hi all,

I just sent my resignation email a few minutes ago (I won’t publish this post until I get a confirmation it was received and acknowledged, though).

After 28 services.dal.net releases, 15 stats.dal.net releases, new users.dal.net website, a few updates to services2 and probably other things I forgot, I think it’s fair enough to say I did my share.

I’ll probably post about the other projects I’m working on soon so stay tuned! 😉
